Elementary Project Judging:

 
At the elementary project level, judges evaluate student projects only.  No students are present. These projects are submitted from students in grades 4 and 5. Projects are expected to be investigative, not demonstrative, and to show knowledge of the scientific method.

Secondary Project Judging:

 
Team Projects:  Team projects are found in junior (7th and 8th grades), 9th grade, and senior division.  Teams of two or three students work together to complete an investigation.  Each student is expected to be thoroughly knowledgeable about the project.  Junior, 9th grade and senior team projects will involve student interviews.

Junior:  Judges evaluate projects and interview students from grades 7and 8.          
Ninth:  Judges evaluate projects and interview the 9th grade students.
Senior:  Judges evaluate projects and interview students from 10th, 11th and 12 grades.
