Everything you need to know to be a
CCISD Science & Engineering Fair Judge:

Elementary judges:

  • Be available January 9, 2017
  • Elementary judges will judge projects in the categories of: biological sciences, consumer sciences, physical sciences, earth and space sciences and mathematics and engineering
  • You will report to the Bay Professional Learning Center. The Bay Professional Learning Center is located behind Bay Elementary. To get there from 146, take 2nd St to Anderson Avenue, or take 3rd Street to Cook Ave. See map below for details.
  • Arrive at 11:30 a.m. for check-in
  • Judging should be completed by about 3:30 p.m.

Secondary judges:

  • Be available January 9, 2017
  • Secondary judges will judge projects in the categories of: animal science, behavioral/social science, biochemistry/microbiology, chemistry, computer science, earth and space science, energy and transportation, environmental science, mathematics, medicine/health, physics/astronomy, plant science, engineering: aerospace, chemical, electrical/mechanical and materials/bioengineering
  • Only secondary judges interview the student researchers along with evaluating the project
  • You will report to Bayside Intermediate School, 4430 Village Way in League City
  • An optional informational meeting for new judges begins at 11 a.m.
  • Check-in will take place from 11:45 a.m. to noon, then you will go immediately to lunch with your judging team.
  • Depending on your assigned division and category, judging usually lasts until 4-5 p.m.
